When you are at the dock or slip, the propeller’s thrust is off. That’s when BOWREX comes in.
As you approach the dock or your assigned slip, you reduce engine thrust and lose steering control. BOWREX provides a powerful lateral push on the port or starboard side, exactly where you need it.
Prepare BOWREX on the required side, keep it on standby, and use it at the critical moment to turn, align, and ease into your slip. No hull drilling. No permanent installation. Deploy when needed and retrieve after use.

BOWREX works alongside your existing engine and rudder, providing controlled lateral thrust at the bow whenever you need extra assistance during docking and close-quarters maneuvering.
Attach & Lower
Hook the Easy-Lift bracket onto the toe rail on your preferred side of the bow. Release the pre-set rope to lower the unit until the lever handle is approximately halfway submerged, positioning the propulsion unit just below the water surface.

Activate Hull Hold mode, which runs
the BOWREX propulsion motor at a
pre-set low RPM.
The suction head keeps the unit
securely attached to the hull with
minimal lateral pushing force.
Even as the boat continues moving
forward at marina speed, BOWREX
remains firmly in position against
the hull, ready to deliver immediate
lateral thrust whenever you need
to turn or adjust the bow's position.
Ramp Up & Push
Press the Ramp-Up button to
increase RPM and initiate
bow movement.
Avoid continuous maximum thrust,
as it may cause excessive rotation.
For smoother, more precise control,
apply a stronger initial push,
then use short 2–3 second thrust
pulses to adjust the bow's movement.
Release the button between pulses
to return to Hull Hold mode,
keeping BOWREX ready for the
next push.
Return to Deck
Once the maneuver is complete,
stop propulsion and retrieve
the unit onto the deck using
the Easy-Lift system.
Nothing remains permanently
installed.
Your Rudder Needs Steerageway.
BOWREX Doesn't.
As you slow down to enter your dock or slip, the rudder loses effectiveness. Yet this is precisely when you need control of your bow.
Your docking position is already known — port or starboard. Prepare BOWREX on the required side and keep it ready for that final maneuver.
