One BOWREX 40 is normally all you need. A second unit is intended only for exceptional docking circumstances requiring immediate bow control in either direction.

Two BOWREX™ 40 Units. One Joystick.
For docking approaches that may change with wind or current, position one BOWREX 40 on the port side and one on the starboard side. A single joystick controls both units as the standard Dual-Side arrangement, not an optional upgrade.
Move the joystick in the direction you want the bow to turn. The system activates the appropriate side, with one unit providing full pushing thrust at a time.

BOWREX™ 30 — For Sailboats Up to 30 ft

Inquire to OrderBattery and electrical requirements: Battery, BMS and charger are not included. BOWREX 40 requires a customer-supplied 21700 lithium-ion 14S4P battery configuration; BOWREX 30 specifies 14S3P. Reference cells: Molicel P45B, Ampace JP40 or equivalent/higher discharge capability. Use a compatible protected BMS (for example JK-B1A24S15P or equivalent) and an Anderson SB120-compatible connector. Do not bypass BMS discharge protection. For Dual-Side use, the two units may share one properly configured battery system and are intended to push one at a time.
