360° Turning Test with PORTABOW — on Bayfield 25 ft Sailboat
2026-01-22
This video documents a 360° turning validation test of the PortaBow portable docking-assist system on a 25 ft class sailboat.
The trial was conducted after departing the dock and proceeding into open channel water, allowing continuous maneuvering under controlled conditions.
The purpose of this test is to evaluate:
- Directional control during sustained thrust inputs
- Predictable bow response during rotational maneuvers
- Structural stability of the external housing under load
- Short-burst docking duty performance
The vessel completes controlled 360° turns using a combination of short-burst and continuous inputs, demonstrating practical low-speed maneuvering capability in real marina conditions.
This footage represents a 25 ft sailboat validation platform within the early-series testing phase.
Battery not included. Dock-assist use only (short burst duty).
Not a permanently installed propulsion system.
