What BOWREX is
A bow-use-only mini pushing tug.
BOWREX is a deployable external bow-assist system for sailboats. The easiest way to understand it is as a bow-use-only mini pushing tug. It is not made to tow, pull, or propel the boat. It is designed only to push the bow during docking.
Unlike a traditional built-in bow thruster, BOWREX does not require hull drilling, a tunnel, or permanent underwater installation. It works outside the hull and helps push the bow in tight docking and undocking situations.

The printed platform starts there. A complete BOWREX system is built by adding the propulsion, control, deck-handling, protection, and boat-specific setup around that foundation.

Finish it your way
The BOWREX Platform is the printed structural foundation for a complete BOWREX system. Builders may add their own finishing, protection, or reinforcement methods if desired. These finishing choices can help make the printed structure tougher for repeated deck handling and marine use.
EVA foam pad
Can be added to the hull-contact face for cushioning and surface protection.
2K protective liner
Can be applied to the exterior for improved abrasion resistance and tougher finish.
Epoxy coating
Can be used as a protective exterior surface layer.
Fiberglass wrap
Can be added for extra stiffness, impact resistance, and reinforcement.
These are optional builder-applied upgrades and are not included unless specifically stated.
